Pirates blush more then expected!

SecretComicLover (Guest), April 26th, 2011, 9:05 pm

I'd be a little apprehensive about this seduction, since it would have been even less acceptable if it were the other way around...

Sex_is_not_a_sin (Guest), April 27th, 2011, 12:36 am

Girl, you got some serious problems!

Enough (Guest), April 27th, 2011, 5:20 am

I agree... ...with the girl above me.

Okay, I never posted before, I like to lurk but this is starting all over again and I want to enjoy the comic.

Don't use the word "seduction" if you want to talk about rape: seduction is the process of deliberately enticing a person to engage; yes it can be a negative thing but the other one ALWAYS cave in willingly. There's nothing WRONG with that if there's no violence, it's seduction.

I don't see any violence here. Nobody is forcing anybody else to do what they don't want to do, but you do!
You force yourself on us constantly.
You are raping us constantly. You either vomit your knowledge at us or your psychological problems constantly.

PLEASE see the difference between commenting the comic and just use this thing as your psychiatrist's chair.

Read and have fun, if the comic is fun, don't torture the author and the other readers! This is sian, lah!

I must agree with the previous comments Please, Lover, just enjoy the comic. It's a comic, nothing less, nothing more. Don't put on it a baggage that doesn't belong... such personal matters are better discussed with persons and places actually devoted to those, be them online or IRL. But not here.

SecretComicLover (Guest), May 6th, 2011, 7:42 am

Sorry, everyone... I didn't put anything up about this page before, I didn't dare... I just felt like I had to say something, I generally get like that... I really am trying to figure myself out, and get as many perspectives as possible, and I'm not talking about rape here, though it did look very forceful, and gentle pushing can be just as problematic if it's not something a person would want to do at the start (e.g. that a girl would want to avoid being seduced for fear of what people would think of her afterwards, I wouldn't know if it's the same for a boy), and of course in that world, nobody who would complain was important enough to dare do it, and I keep reading that a lot of people feel that that's the way we still must play it today, that it's never any fun for the seducer if s/he has to ask permission... I would also like to ask for further clarification about what the site is for... Would the discussions I start be valuable, even for being uncomfortable, or is this just meant as praise for the comic? I'm no longer able to remove that comment, but I'm sorry for putting it there, if it's a problem, I will say no more...

Relevancy is fundamental to a comment on a comic, it's basic netiquette.
Also breaking paragraphs is basic netiquette.

A lot of your comments are not about the story, they are about you.

I am a guy btw. I would want to ask questions about historical facts, language, traditions, I don't care who screws who asking permission on watermarked paper. It's the XVII century and that's not what the story is about. But I don't ask questions because she puts up curiosities in her blog, because she is busy and I don't feel like wasting her time or nagging her.

For sure this comic is very European, where life is very different from where you live. Then I would want to know about Europe and its history, to visit the place instead of coming up with my own conclusions.

Enough! I am putting an end to this right now.

I've received complaints all over the web about this situation.

Please read, enjoy and comment the comic in a healthy way. It's a comic.

I did not put it out here to be interpreted, torn apart, dissected and used for anything else or more than what it is: entertainment.

I have fun drawing this. If you like and have fun with it I am happy. If you don't like it you don't have to read it, clearly, you have to believe the narrative compromise all the way, and if you don't the most logical solution is: some other story.

Now, I really don't have time to discuss this more than I do on the blog. I am working like a donkey this month, I am tired.

I will refer you to the FAQ and the curiosities from now on. If I have time I'll come and crack a joke with you, job permitting. Don't ask more than it's written up there brown on beige. If it's not there I did not say it.
