the dot on top of an i is called a tittle. THE MORE YOU KNOW! *star*

Milk (Guest), September 22nd, 2013, 3:14 pm

true, and she knows it too... but "the dot of a letter i" is also a common proverb/saying in Italian, which she explained in the curiosities in her blog.

There are plenty of curiosities worth reading about and knowing about :D

@I have mace: this page used to say tittle and had tons of titillating jokes with tits in the comments.

As long as the meaning is clear and trolls are kept away there is no need to be stiff with the language.

@Milk: she introduced the proverb later - because of the tits jokes.

The internet is populated by sad sad sad people with no life and whose in life is to feel better by making others feel miserable.

@Bibi @I have mace

yes, there were a lot of people who don't speak English as first language who were confused by the word too (and then we got trolls), so I switched to the proverb :D

And I agree, as long as it is clear there is no need to be so stiff with the language. :D
